The OSHC Conference 2024: Wrap up

The OSHC Conference 2024 (28 & 29 May) has once again knocked our socks off with a range of incredible presentations, in-person events, and (of course) the record-breaking number of educators who attended this year! A huge thank you to the wonderful speakers who left attendees feeling inspired in their work and connected as a community.

Each year, we ask what topics you would like to see us cover as the conference approaches. We were delighted to have speakers talk to such a diverse range of topics, including navigating children’s behaviour, attracting and retaining staff, mental health and bullying, e-safety, pedagogical approaches to play and so much more! We also had the honour of visiting John Marsden’s Alice Miller School – Candlebark Campus in the Macedon Ranges, and North Melbourne Primary School OSHC for our two in-person events.

We are deeply grateful to all of those who came along to connect, learn and celebrate the value and passion of our wonderful OSHC community! If you have any thoughts about this year’s event or upcoming conferences, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

In 2024 attendees heard from:

⭐ AFL legend and children’s author Eddie Betts
⭐ Globally acclaimed author and alternative school principal John Marsden
⭐ ACECQA National Education Leader, Rhonda Livingstone
⭐ OSHC icons Dr Bruce Hurst and Dr Jennifer Cartmel
⭐ Child psychologist and trauma specialist Trent Savill
⭐ DeadlyScience founder, Corey Tutt
⭐ NOSHSA Chairperson, Kylie-Anne Brannelly

+ more!
